Christopher D. Lambert is a distinguished educational professional with over 27 years of higher education accreditation experience. Throughout his career Christopher has held key leadership positions, notably as the Associate Executive Director at the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), and as the Executive Director for the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), both of which are recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as reliable authorities in the assessment of education quality.
Christopher has served on hundreds of accreditation visits, trained thousands of postsecondary education leaders on best practices, and supported over ten thousand accrediting agency actions. For over a quarter century he has been a trusted advocate for the postsecondary career college sector, actively participating in legislative, regulatory, and policy discussions at the state and federal level, and having drafted testimony on Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act and as part of accrediting agency appearances before Congress and the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI).

Christopher is a proud graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1995. In 2006, Christopher was awarded a Master of Education from The University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development.

A native of western Pennsylvania, Michael P. Lambert is the Executive Director Emeritus of the Distance Education and Training Council (NHSC/DETC/DEAC), an organization he joined in 1972. Michael served as DETC's Executive Director for over two decades, from 1992 to 2013.
Throughout his 40 year career in accreditation, Michael served on more than 600 accreditation review committees in nine countries. A veteran of the US Army, where he was in part responsible for distance study course development at the US Quartermaster School, Michael has served on numerous advisory boards, including the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) Committee on Recognition, the CHEA International Commission, the Public Service Education Institute, the American Council on Education Commission on Lifelong Learning, and the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges.
Michael is a distinguished alumnus from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Science in English and a Master of Arts in English Literature. Michael also earned a MBA in Finance from George Mason University, where he later taught, and attended the International Summer School at the University of Cambridge in England.
MIchael has been inducted into The DETC Hall of Fame, and was named to the European Association for Distance Learning's Roll of Honour for his lifetime contributions in advancing the cause of distance learning globally.
Michael currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Service Educational Institute in Washington DC.
Michael and his wife Carol live in Springfield, Virginia.
